Do you know why DEI work felt good?
Healthier group dynamics is good for your mental wellbeing, reduces stress and can help reinforce your mindfulness practice in a number of ways. It's an important feedback loop: mindfulness practices help maintain healthy group dynamics, and healthier group dynamics help sustain and deepen the impacts of your mindfulness practice.
During the most recent wave of DEI popularity, we often heard people say "we've been waiting to do this kind of work for so long." Even many DEI skeptics eventually found the organizational/communal work of DEI worthwhile because it often rooted out the deep seated issues that blocked a sense of belonging and dignity for everyone - which led to increased individual wellbeing and consequently healthier group dynamics.
