Week 3 Meditation – Releasing Stored Tension
Leadership stress rarely disappears at the end of a meeting or workday.
Instead, it accumulates — in shoulders that stay lifted, jaws that remain tight, breathing that becomes shallow, and nervous systems that quietly brace for the next demand.
Over time, unrecognized tension begins to shape leadership presence. It can influence tone, patience, listening capacity, and decision-making without us realizing it.
This week’s meditation focuses on identifying where stress lives in the body and practicing small, sustainable release.
This is not about eliminating stress. It is about preventing stress from silently driving leadership behavior.
You may find this practice particularly helpful:
after emotionally charged conversations
between back-to-back meetings
when you notice irritability or fatigue building
at the end of the workday before transitioning home
Even small moments of release help restore clarity and steadiness.
Reflection Prompts
You are welcome to reflect privately or share with the group:
Where do you most consistently hold tension during the workweek?
How might that tension influence your tone, listening, or decision-making?
How early do you typically notice stress building in your body?
What helps you release pressure before it accumulates into reactivity or exhaustion?
