Understanding Accesses the World
When we intentionally seek people out, ask for their input, listen to what they say and follow-up with curious questions, we are actively honoring their dignity through understanding. When we eagerly invite diverse perspectives into workplace situations, we gain access to a world of incredibly valuable wisdom and insight, create more equitable communication, significantly reduce disengagement.

Another amazing development that fully utilizing "understanding" and the trust it creates is the improvement in conflict resolution. Many workplace conflicts escalate because people feel misunderstood. Genuine listening can uncover underlying interests and needs, making disagreements more productive and less personal.
