As leaders we know that change is inevitable. However, successful organizational change is not. What does a mindful leader recognize as pivotal to successful organizational change? Trust. Change is inevitable — but trust isn’t. When organizations undergo major transitions — mergers, restructuring, layoffs, or leadership shifts — conflict and confusion often follow. It’s not because people don’t understand change. It’s because they don’t trust how it’s being handled.
