About the Event

Dallas Theater Center and Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation invite DTC employees and board members to a presentation of the History of Race in Dallas presented by Jerry Hawkins, Dallas TRHT executive director and Dallas historian.

This presentation will be filmed, and the video will be included in Dallas Theater Center’s Racial Equity & Justice University, an online learning journey for our employees and board members designed to support Dallas Theater Center in becoming company of belonging — a community that embraces all aspects of one’s racial identity, honoring the importance of intersectionality, so that racial equity and justice are a reality for all people.

Please join us for this special in-person event. We look forward to learning together in community.

We encourage you to watch “A Virtual History Tour of Dallas: Changing the Narrative about Place” and visit the sites in person prior to the March 30 event. This experience will enhance your learning on March 30.
