Difficult Conversations at Work Training

There is almost certainly a conversation you have been putting off — not because you lack courage, but because no one ever gave you a structure for it. This course is that structure. Grounded in the Workplace Peace Institute's basic human needs framework, this self-paced training teaches leaders to raise hard things without damaging the person or the relationship. Avoidance protects comfort. Attack protects position. Only dignity protects the relationship. Across six modules, you will learn to: • Name what makes a specific conversation difficult — emotion, power, history, or unmet need • Separate the three conversations happening at once: what happened, feelings, and identity • Move your language from blame to learning, holding intent and impact in the same sentence • Recognize dignity threat in real time and restore enough safety for learning to return • Prepare and walk a full conversation using the DIGNITY arc, and close it with clarity The six modules: Why Difficult Conversations Matter; What Makes Conversations Difficult; The Three Conversations Framework; From Blame to Learning; Feedback, Dignity, and Emotional Threat; Preparing for and Having the Conversation. Modules 1-3 build understanding. Modules 4-6 build capability. Every module includes a worksheet that integrates the learning and carries one real conversation of yours from decoding to a fully prepared plan.
